Glazing Edinburgh

Our tradesmen glazing teams service covers the whole Edinburgh and Lothians area, they can carry out minor on the spot repairs, replace double glazed units, supply and install coloured splashbacks and mirrors within their efficient clean routine.

We keep a large stock of various thicknesses and glass types ready to replace your damaged pane. Some types of safety and fire resistant glass may have to be ordered specially for you.

When one or more of your sealed double glazed units require replacing due to the glass being broken or is misted up in between the panes, we can manufacture and install new double glazed units without replacing the complete window.

Our double glazed units can be manufactured to all sizes and shapes required and manufactured in any of the listed types of glass to suit your needs. All are suitable for domestic and commercial use. Sealed units can be used for soundproofing and heat retention, not only for windows and doors but also within secondary glazing windows. The units can also be used to encase a stained glass panel to protect it from the elements or hands.

Gas Filled Glazing Units

double glazing edinburgh We can manufacture Gas filled and sealed glazed units which further reduce any heat loss between the panes, therefore helping to keep even more heat in during the winter. Making conditions in the room more comfortable the whole year round. The combination of Gas filling and Low E glass can achieve an improvement in thermal performance in the region of 50% over and above that of a standard sealed unit.

Argon Gas which is the most commonly used for its heat insulation properties is non-toxic, sunlight stable, non-corrosive, colourless and odourless.

Krypton Gas is even more energy efficient when gas filled units are used.

Low E, Gas filled units with Super Spacer bars can achieve A or A+ top ratings when used within quality windows.

A misconception about double glazing units, they are not a vacuumed filling, this would bend the panes together in the middle and distort the viewed image and any tiny fault would let moisture enter.
